I'll see you soon, baby.

Last time I saw you was in the middle of winter,
Autumn rain slowly turning into snow,
It's been weeks since I've even seen your face.
Tell me please, why did you have to go?

I'll see you soon, baby.

It hurts me to go even a day without you,
Yet now I'm forced to wait for long eternal weeks.
I missed you before you even left and I know you do too,
If only you could see it in the tears on my cheeks.

I'll see you soon, baby.

I'll love you the same no matter how far you are,
At the top of a mountain? I've already begun to climb.
Can't stand to be away from you for even a minute,
But I'll see you soon, baby. Just give it some time.
I think someone's going to have send me on Intervention for writing poetry. I'm doing it wayyyy too much.....

Anyway I wrote this poem for my friend Alicia. Her boyfriend has to leave for five months and she won't get to talk to him or see him until the summertime. So I thought I'd write her a poem :)

Hope you like it. Critiques would be greatly appreciated!!!
